What is a Cash Balance Plan Fisher Investments® |
The volume of the music is reduced. Male Voice: “Hi, I’m Mathew Cooksey, I’m the business development team lead here at Fisher Investments 401(k) Solutions. And I work with a lot of high-earning business owners who didn’t realize we have a strategy to help them significantly reduce their tax liability upwards of one hundred thousand dollars each year. You could be one of them.” |
A man dressed in a suit speaks to the camera. A flyout in the lower left corner identifies him as Matthew Cooksey, Business Development Team Leader. |
“So a Cash Balance plan is a type of retirement plan that often works side-by-side with 401(k) plan that allows high-earning business owners the ability to significantly increase their tax deferred savings often upwards of three hundred thousand dollars each year while also reducing their tax liability in some cases upwards of one hundred thousand dollars each year. And the greatest part about that is those contributions also grow tax deferred.” “A Cash Balance Plan can be one of the most valuable tools that a lot of high earning small business owners overlook in their strategies to reduce their taxes. A lot of the client I talk to have exhausted a lot of the traditional models or ways that they can reduce the amount they are paying in taxes. With this plan it allows them to not only save hundreds of thousands of dollars each year into their personal retirement those contributions allow them to reduce their tax liability as well. And that can be really beneficial for people that have kind of hit the wall of what is available to them.” “Cash Balance plans can be complex. And its important to have an advisor who is an expert in them to help you navigate them Here are Fisher investments we have the expertise and the experience to help our clients and their CPAs optimize their plans to not only reduce their tax liability on an on on-going basis but make sure their getting the most out of their retirement savings.” |
The flyout disappears. The camera remains focused on the speaker, occasionally zooming in or out. |
The volume of the upbeat music increases. |
A white background slides in from the right. Fisher Investment 401(k) Solutions logo fades on to the screen. |

Industry Scorecard Fisher Investments® |
The volume of the music is reduced. Male Voice: “Hi, My name is Dylan, I am a program manager at Fisher and I talk to small business owners every day.” |
A man dressed in a suit speaks to the camera. A flyout in the lower left corner identifies him as Dylan Marks, Program Manager. |
“One thing I constantly hear is that they want to understand how their plan stacks up against their competitors. It can be challenging to know if your benefits package is competitive, but it is really important if you want to be attracting and retaining talent. So what we are going to help you do is get that understanding, and we are going to do it for you. We are going to show you with our 401(k) scorecard how your plan stacks up against the competition.” |
The flyout disappears. The camera remains focused on the as he continues to speak, gesturing occasionally. |
“With a 401(k) scorecard, you will be able to see how you stack up against competitors of your size and within your industry, so you will get a really holistic view of how your plan is doing” |
The video splits into two frames with Dylan on the left, and a preview of the 401(k) scorecard on the right. The scorecard preview shows who it was prepared for, and states that it was prepared specifically for them by 401(k) solutions. A finger then scrolls the report (which appears to be displayed on a touch-enabled tablet device) to show the next page. The next page shows various scores and metrics displayed with charts and numbers. Metrics on this page include an overall score, as well as Participation Rage, Employee Contributions (per participant), Employer Contributions (per participant), Assets (per participant), Rate of Return, and Plan Growth Rate. |
“And a better understanding of what sort of improvements you may want to consider doing making in order to make it better.” |
The frame with the scorecard preview increases to fill the entire video frame and Dylan disappears from view. Yellow highlights briefly appear over the individual scores on the report distinguishing them from the peer scores before disappearing. |
“The 401(k) plan scorecard is designed to help small business owners quantify some of the most important metrics that you can look at, including Participation Rate, the overall plan growth, how much employees are contributing, how much the business is contributing, as well as others” |
The report preview remains on-screen while Dylan continues to speak in the background, zooming in slowly on the metrics that are present on the page. As the names of certain metrics are spoken, they are highlighted in yellow. |
“And it is going to package it in a way that makes it really easy to understand how you are stacking up versus your competitors in the industry.” |
The yellow highlights disappear from the report, and it zooms back out to show the full page. |
